Restoration’s Story

Restoration seeks to glorify God by making disciple-making disciples in The Bronx. We dream of seeing th Bronx saved, set apart, and sent for the work of the gospel, God’s plan for reaching people and making disciples.

Restoration began regular Sunday services with a few faithful people and a God-sized dream. This time was both an exciting and terrifying one for us. We had no clue as to what we were doing. Yet, in the midst of all all our faults, God moved mightily. God saved people, we baptized people, we married people, we did our best to preach the gospel in all of life, and we served our community. God did all of this while we were still trying to figure out what we were doing as a faith community rooted in one of the poorest congressional districts in the nation.

In 2017, Restoration joined Acts 29 which helped clarify our strategy for mission and discipleship here in the South Bronx. We started to figure out who we were and who we will become as a church family and as disciple-makers. The fellowship of Acts 29 and the support and spiritual care given to us from NAMB’s Send Network have been a tremendous blessing for us. It is because of what God has done for our faith family through Kingdom partnerships that can we can confidently state that God is not done.

We are a church committed to every member ministry and equipping the saints. We are a people filled and fueled by the Holy Spirit to see The Bronx saved, set apart, and sent out ablaze for the work of the gospel.

We are not going to move this world by criticism of it nor conformity to it, but by the combustion within it of lives ignited by the Spirit of God.
